2008 Carnival

Sing to Enchant

Let’s hold hands sisters, brothers
Taking care of everything
Pimpolhos comes to take action
To change the world (2x)

The man evolves, but who would know
In the midst of modernity
With his capacity forgot to say good morning
A please, go ahead,
With kindness, how are you?
Thank you, pleasure,
Delighted to meet you
Come give me happiness
And I will give you affection and friendship
Come be my friend, I will value you
And with a rose I express my love
With these gestures that rejoice the heart
The joy of donating
That ennobles the magic of living
Oh! Father, Oh! Mother, we must respect
Preserve the green in the forests
If you are going to cry, cry with me
To console you I’ll give you my friendly shoulder
This kindness is beautiful to see
Our Homeland makes the dream come true

Let’s hold hands sisters, brothers
Taking care of everything
Pimpolhos comes to take action
To change the world (2x)

In today's world of globalization, we understand that small simple habits (although significant) have been forgotten. In the age of computing, in which information propagates at the speed of light, we notice that the more man evolves scientifically; he forgets to look within himself and to his fellow men, forgetting values and abilities such as: solidarity, ethic, acceptance of the different, autonomy, affectivity, citizenship and lifelong learning, capacity and adaption to new situations, absence and prejudgment, to debate, argue, interfere in reality and transform it based in the argument… May all of our carnival work turn to these essential basic feelings, which are increasingly getting lost in society. They are: FRIENDSHIP, KINDNESS AND CHARITY.
